Job Description

Established company is seeking an Engineer for a Manufacturing company in the greater Valencia, CA area. Pay ranges from: $110-120k DOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering and production for new product launches.
  • Design, assemble, wire, plumb, program, debug, and maintain new manufacturing equipment.
  • Evaluate and implement optimized product flow using standardized work procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas, workrooms, and laboratories.
  • Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with product specifications and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and generate necessary work orders.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
  • Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage documentation processes including sorting, imaging, filing, and archiving by form type.
  • Perform basic mechanical assembly using hand tools and measurement instruments.
  • Coordinate staffing and materials to meet customer demands and production schedules.
  • Conduct line studies and validation testing as required.
  • Develop, update, and implement new manufacturing processes on the production floor.
  • Plan, execute, analyze, and document validation activities with comprehensive reports.
  • Ensure all procedures and processes comply with applicable regulations.
  • Oversee supplier and contract manufacturer performance to meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Travel as necessary to support job responsibilities, including visits to plants, suppliers, and customers.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges affecting performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Lead advanced manufacturing engineering efforts related to New Product Introduction (NPI), Total Cost Optimization (TCO), and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Create and present weekly work plans focused on continuous improvement to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with CAD, CNC, AutoCAD, PLM, PLC, Jira, and R programming.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven leadership ability; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinker with expertise in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Adept at using computer systems to support engineering and manufacturing tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
